The first cranberry plantation is created on the peat deposit "Dikoye" by the agricultural consumer berry cooperative "Arkhangelsk Cranberry" in the Kholmogory district of the Arkhangelsk Region (www.pitekbio.ru).

On the 10^th of October 2017, the construction of the first motherberry plot was completed on the first check of the cranberry plantation. 50 thousand seedlings of nine varieties of "marsh cranberry"(Охуcoccus palustris L.) of the Russian selection were planted. The cranberry varieties are created by scientists of the "Central European Forestry experimental station" Branch FBU VNIILM (Kostroma city).

All the stages of road construction and checks of the cranberry plantation were presented to the participants of the event.

A tasting of Russian varieties of "marsh cranberry" was conducted, at which the participants evaluated the marketable appearance and taste qualities of each of the varieties.

The event was attended by leading experts from various regions of Russia, as well as shareholders (investors) of the cooperative. N. Demidova participated in the event of laying out of the cranberries motherberry plot.
